Safety and Security

While our neighborhood is quiet and low crime, you should still take all precautions with your safety and your belongings. Please lock the doors of the home when you are inside and when you are leaving. Remove all valuables from your vehicle and lock all doors when unattended. 

There is a fire extinguisher in the kitchen in both the Mess Hall and Bonham Cabin.

The first aid kit is located in the kitchen in the Mess Hall above the kitchen sink.

Plumbing

As part of the charm of being in a rural area, we have a septic system, Please do not overload the system by flushing large amounts of toilet paper. NO paper products except the toilet paper provided by your hosts should be flushed, this includes:

Feminine products

Facial tissues

Napkins

Paper towels

Wipes (any type, including “flushable”)

Any other objects that are not meant to be flushed down a toilet

Any damage caused to the plumbing due to any of the above or any object that shouldn’t be flushed may result in you being charged substantial fees.

There is no garbage disposal, so please do not put any food or other items down the sink.

No Smoking

All Cabins and buildings are non smoking.

Noise/Parties/Gatherings

The majority of our neighbors live here full time. Please minimize noise between 11 p.m. and 8 a.m. to ensure our neighbors can enjoy a night of undisturbed sleep. Gatherings of more than the number of occupants registered are prohibited. Exceeding your booking guest count may result in substantial additional charges.

Cleaning supplies

A broom/dust pan, swiffer mop and other normal household cleaning supplies are located in the corner room of the Mess Hall.

Check Out time and procedures:

*Check out is 11:00am. 

*Please be sure to take all of your belongings - don’t forget your phone charger :) - If you find you have forgotten something, please contact us as soon as possible so we can try to find it for you.

Any perishable or other food items left behind will be thrown out and will not be returned.
